First-Year Students
General Admission Requirements
- Completed application and $30 application fee
- Cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
- Proof of English proficiency (for students whose native language is not English)
Engineering Additional Requirements (Civil, Mechanical, Computer, and Electrical Engineering)
- One semester of trigonometry, precalculus, calculus, or higher math
One of the following:
- SAT-R Math 570
- ACT Math 24+
- PFW Math Placement 50+
- AP Calculus AB score 4+
- AP Calculus BC score 3+
- Dual math credit MA 15400+
- Previous college math credit MA 15400+
Advanced Standing
If you have completed the IB Diploma, Cambridge International AS/A levels, Oxford International AS/A levels, Pearson Edexcel AS/A levels, AQA AS/A levels, OCR AS/A levels, and/or AP courses, you may qualify for university credit at Purdue Fort Wayne. Credits awarded vary based on program, grades, and intended major. Be sure to send your official score reports directly to the Office of International Education.
Transfer Students

International Transfer Credit Requirements
For any institution outside the United States that does not hold United States Regional Accreditation, a credential evaluation will be prepared by the Office of International Education. Undistributed credit in corresponding disciplines will be awarded for international credit unless course descriptions and/or syllabi are provided as well.
Exchange Students
If your university has an exchange agreement with Purdue Fort Wayne, you can take advantage of all the opportunities that we have to offer. Please submit all official documents to your home coordinator or through International Student Exchange Programs to be considered for admission.
You will need to submit the following documentation:
- Completed nondegree/guest application
- Copy of biographical page of passport
- Official transcript of current institution
- Financial documents—official certification of finances provided on bank letterhead from a private sponsor, company, or government entity or bank statement; amount requested varies by program and will be communicated during the application process
Guest Students (nondegree)
General Admission Requirements
- Completed application and $30 application fee
- Cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
- Proof of English proficiency (for students whose native language is not English)
Note: nondegree students are not eligible for financial aid.
Graduate Students
- Application and $75 application fee
- Official transcripts
- Certification of graduation or degree certificate—to be submitted upon completion of undergraduate degree
- GMAT for business administration (waivers available)
- Letters of recommendation: one to three (varies by program)
- Statement of purpose
- Proof of English proficiency (for students whose native language is not English)
